FIRST ROUND & SWAPS

2027 BOS 1sttradable

Tradable, provided Boston retains a first in either 2027 or 2028.

2028 PHI/LAC better — conditionalreview

If the LAC first is 17–30, Boston receives LAC outright. If LAC is 1–16, Boston may swap the lesser of BOS/SAS for LAC; if PHI is 1–8 and retained by Philadelphia, Boston may instead swap that lesser BOS/SAS pick for the better of PHI/LAC. Exact conveyance language must preserve the layered protections.

2028 BOS/SAS lesser swapreview

Selectable only as Boston's residual interest after San Antonio's existing top-1-protected swap right. It cannot be combined with the conditional PHI/LAC asset or another disposition of the same underlying 2028 rights; exact conveyance language requires review.

2030 BOS 1strestricted

Currently restricted because Boston's 2029 first is owed; Stepien limitations apply until that obligation resolves.

2031 BOS 1sttradable

Boston's own first; tradable subject to the final structure of adjacent obligations.

2031 PHI 1sttradable

Unprotected Philadelphia first acquired in the Jaylen Brown–Paul George trade.

2032 BOS 1stfrozen

Frozen/restricted under the second-apron pick penalty; not available in this preliminary builder.

2033 BOS 1sttradable

Boston's own first and within the seven-year trade window during 2026–27.

SECOND ROUND

2028 controlled 2ndcontrolled

Most favorable of Golden State, Oklahoma City and Milwaukee.

2030 controlled 2ndscontrolled

Multiple controlled interests; exact conveyance language requires review.

2031 controlled 2ndscontrolled

Multiple controlled interests; exact conveyance language requires review.

2032 & 2033 BOS 2ndstradable

Boston's own second-round picks.

Methodology & limitations

RosterLabs projections account for player performance, age, availability, sample confidence, projected games and rotation minutes, roster depth, positional fit and the league scoring environment. These inputs are translated into team ratings and projected wins through the proprietary RosterLabs model.

The projection model is internally tested across historical team-seasons and is designed to evaluate complete roster scenarios rather than any single input in isolation.

Roster Fit is a separate lineup-compatibility diagnostic covering creation, spacing, defense, rebounding, size and role balance. It does not directly replace the player-impact projection.

Trade, exception and draft checks are directional. Complex protections, bonuses, guarantees, trade kickers and conveyance language require independent confirmation under the NBA–NBPA CBA. Current cap, tax and apron thresholds use the NBA’s 2026–27 release.
